Carol Bocchino, Ph.D.

Carol Bocchino is a performance management consultant who has experience with com­panies in the Fortune 500 classification, as well as with compara­tively smaller clients.  She has worked across diverse industries including pharmaceutical, telecommunications, and finance.  Relevent projects include work with Johnson & Johnson,  Lucent Technologies, Allenbrook, Inc., Pfizer, and L’Oreal Consumer Products.

Since 1980, she has been Managing Director of CBA, Inc, a consulting organization specializing in organizational development (OD) and human performance management.  This work involves identifying key areas for performance improvement, and designing solutions that sustain desired performance.  These solutions typically include measurement and evaluation programs that identify and reward desired performance (via a balanced scorecard approach), as well as the appropriate documentation and training needed to support the total system.

In addition to OD and performance management consulting, Dr. Bocchino con­ducts workshops and facilitates seminars in a variety of areas including process improvement, problem solving and decision making, conflict resolution and team building, strategic thinking, and performance management and appraisal.  She also has experience in executive coaching and indi­vidual assessment with a variety of assessment instruments such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, California Psychological Inventory, and various career and leadership assessment instruments.

Prior to forming CBA, Dr. Bocchino was a Project Consultant for five years with Praxis Corporation, an innovator in the analysis and improvement of human per­formance.

Dr. Bocchino is an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.  She has taught courses in Tests and Measurement and in Clinical Assessment Techniques.

Dr. Bocchino has a Masters in Educational Psychology from Rutgers University, and a Ph.D. in Consulting Psychology from Seton Hall University. Her doctoral disserta­tion examined the effect of organizational and individual values on occupational stress and the changing psychological contract.
